Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a musical family. She was raised listening to classic, old boleros as well as the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana loves the opera and tango genres as well as every form of dramatic performances. Ana began learning and singing songs with her mother and commenced more serious vocal training when she was 16 working with the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. She continued her musical training at the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. When she was a student, and a young professional, she sang with various chamber groups as well as opera choirs in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. In 2000 she moved into America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she settled in her current home in Southern California. She is currently performing traditional Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. Her love and passion for music, art, and performing has her involved with a variety of local initiatives as a teacher and performer. Ana was also a part of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher in The Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to be able to be able to share her love for the tradition of Latin American music. She hopes this can help younger generations continue the tradition.
